CAPF AC Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
A candidate must have earned a Bachelor’s degree from a university created by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or from other educational institutions created by an Act of Parliament or stated to be regarded as a university under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or have an equivalent qualification.
Age Limit
Minimum age: 20 years
Maximum age: 25 years
The age will be computed as of 1 August 2022, which means he or she must have been born between 2 August 1997 and 1 August 2002.
Syllabus
Paper-I(250 Marks): General Ability and Intelligence
General Mental Ability: The questionnaires will be asked to assess logical reasoning, mathematical aptitude, and interpretation of data.
General Science: The questions will be designed to assess general knowledge, scientific temper, understanding, and appreciation of ordinary scientific phenomena, as well as new areas of interest such as biotechnology, information technology,and environmental science.
Current Events of National and International Importance: The questions will assess the applicants’ knowledge of current events of national and worldwide relevance in the fields of culture, arts, music, literature, sports, governance, sociological and developmental challenges, industry, business, globalization, and nation-to-nation interaction.
Indian Polity and Economy: Applicants’ knowledge of the nation’s politics and the Indian Constitution, welfare structures and public administration, economic growth in India, regional and global security challenges, and human rights, including indicators, will be tested by the questions.
History of India: The questions will address the subject’s social and economic elements of geography in relation to India and the rest of the world.
Indian and World Geography: The questions will focus on the physical, cultural, and economic elements of geography in India and the rest of the world.
Paper-II(200 marks): Essay, General Studies, and Comprehension
Part‐A – There are 80 marks for essay questions that must be addressed in a lengthy narrative form in Hindi or English. Modern Indian history, particularly the liberation fight, geography, government, economics, awareness of security and human rights problems, and analytical skills are all suggested themes.
Part‐B – Comprehension, precis writing, and other communication/language abilities — solely in English (Marks 120) – Comprehension passages, precis writing, generating counter-arguments, elementary grammar, and other areas of language testing are among the subjects covered.
Conclusion
Candidates who want to join India’s defence forces can fill out an application form. The test is expected to take place in August. Candidates who pass the exam will be assigned to various departments within the CAPF. The procedure of filling out the UPSC CAPF application form will begin in April 2022.
