More than 80 lakh students are expected to take the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), which is necessary for admission to the country’s 53 central universities. As a result, when compared to other national-level admission examinations, competition will be severe. You do not need to take time off to study for the CUET. Instead, going over key concepts from domain classes up to class 12 and focusing on improving your general aptitude and reasoning ability will be enough to get you through the test with flying colors. The test will take place in July 2022.

How Did CUET Emerge?
CUET has emerged as the most visible and essential test. The exam syllabus is the same as what you studied for your board examinations. When selecting a course from a specific university, you must conduct a thorough study. Every institution has distinct admissions standards for its courses. Admission to the course may need a certain subject and language. Make a list of everything. As a result, you will be able to take that particular test. Also, make sure that you select English or Hindi as one of your languages in section one, as most central institutions’ medium of instruction is English or Hindi, and therefore admission to that university will be easier.
CUET is the most important test for 2022. Students who want to study at a central university must first sit for and apply for this test. It will be held in July 2022. The exam dates have not yet been announced, but they will take place in the coming week. Keep checking the NTA’s official website for the most up-to-date exam dates.
The test will be held in 547 Indian cities as well as 13 sites outside of India.
Is CUET Tough?
CUET is not considered a tough exam. It won’t be that difficult. You need to be well versed with current affairs and the news to pass the exam. The language test is mostly on reading comprehension so make sure you read and write often. To improve your vocabulary ensure that you make a list of words and go through them every day. Download the vocabulary apps on your phone and just play through the flashcards for 10-15 min every day. It will help you with your exam.
Why is the CUET Exam Conducted ?
CUET exam is conducted as it has been made compulsory by the UGC, to provide a centralized test for undergraduate programs in all central universities in India. It has been implemented according to the NEP- New Educational Policy 2020 by the Ministry of Education. Hence, if you want to apply for your Bachelor’s to any university for the 2022-2023 academic year, you need to apply and register for this exam on their official website.
CUET Exam Preparation
CUET is not a challenging exam. As long as you are well-versed in general knowledge and your native language. Make sure you read your NCERT textbooks thoroughly for your domain courses. Quantitative and other linguistic abilities will develop naturally as a result of this.

CUET Exam Pattern
Section 1 A: Thirteen Languages
The exam is particularly intended to assess your command of the language. The CUET-UG is a language exam.
The CUET question paper can be taken in any of the 13 languages. However, the majority of Indian applicants choose either English or Hindi.
Section 1 B: 19 Different Languages
Section I B – Languages(20): This section includes French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Sanskrit, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, and Chinese. If applicants choose to select a language other than those listed in Section I A, they may do so from a list of 20 options in this section.
A student appearing for the entrance exam can choose up to 3 language tests from Section 1A and Section 1B combined.
Section I A (13 languages)
There would be 40 questions to answer out of a total of 50.
Each language would have a 45-minute length.
Reading comprehension questions will be asked. (based on various passage types–Factual, Literary, and Narrative, [Literary Aptitude and Vocabulary]).
NOTE:
With the usual word limit of 400-450 words, you might get 5-8 Reading Comprehension.
The questions will be completely different.
To learn RCs, you must practice editorial sections of newspapers and diverse literature.
You will be expected to master the art of avoiding time-consuming queries.
Section 2: Domain-specific evaluation
There are 27 Domains listed in this category. Students can select up to six domains as determined by the university and courses to which they intend to apply.

NOTE:
There would be 40 questions to complete out of a total of 50.
Each language would have a 45-minute length.
For objective-based inquiries, input text can be used.
The exam will include negative marks.
Section 3: General examination
This Section is open to any students interested in enrolling in any undergraduate program offered by colleges that require a General Test for admission. Admission to one of the 45 core universities is contingent on passing the general aptitude component.

This section will consist of multiple-choice questions based on NCERT textbooks, with negative marking for each question poorly answered.
