IAS Anurag Garg Strategy and Optional Subject

Ankur Garg opted for Physics and Chemistry as his optional subjects and here are strategies that he put forward for the aspirants.

#Ankur believes that self-study is the best and it can be very helpful for scoring good marks. You are the only one to understand your strengths and weaknesses well. For guidance you can join the coaching classes but, it is you the end who will have to face the exam so know yourself well.

#Have daily preparation and prepare for 8 to 10 hours every day. There are many aspirants who might multitask but when you are opting for becoming an IAS officer you need to dedicate the required time.

#First, clear your basic concepts with some standard books and then focus on the tricky part of the examination. Don’t memorize previous years papers, they are for practice not for parrot reading.

#When you choose the optional subject make sure you discuss it with the people around you and ask for suggestions. Choosing an optional subject is quite a tricky thing so choose wisely.

#Keep your mind and body healthy, after you sit for 8-10 hours of revision, you need to exercise or do yoga, take a walkout in nature, this will help you be mentally and physically fit.
