The basic eligibility criteria of the IBPS PO is:

Age Limit for IBPS PO 2021
The upper age limit for IBPS PO is set around 20 years to 30 years i.e. for 2021 the candidate must be born after 2 August 1991 and before 1 August 2001. . However there is also some relaxation present according to the category of the candidates.

Points to Remember
#1. It must be noted that the upper age limit is allowed to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC only on a cumulative basis with only one of the remaining categories i.e. PwD to Persons affected by 1984 riots.
#2. There is no upper age relaxation is permitted to candidates belonging to the general category or EWS.
#3. Candidates have to produce the required certificate both original and photocopy at the time of the Interview or whenever demanded by IBPS or Participating organization.
#4. If an ex-serviceman joins a government job on the civil side after availing the benefit of ex-servicemen his status as the former ceases.

Nationality
A candidate is eligible to apply for the IBPS PO Exam only if he/ she fulfils the following criteria:
# A Citizen of India or
# A Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
# A Tibetan Refugee who came to India prior to January 1, 1962
# A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam
Educational Qualification
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection committee states that a candidate must hold a degree (graduation) in the discipline of his choice from an affiliated University or hold any equivalent qualification recognized by the government.
Important Note: The candidate must acquire the valid marksheet or degree certificate and must confirm that he/she has completed his degree and indicate the percentage of marks while registering online.
Points to Remember
#1. All the educational qualifications should be from an affiliated University or Institute and the result must have been declared before 26.08.2021. The candidate must submit the proper documentation at the time of the interview.
#2. The candidate must mention the percentage obtained in the radiation to the nearest two decimal. If the result is declared in CGPA / OGPA, the same should be converted into a percentage and mentioned in the online application.
#3. The percentage should be calculated by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidates by the total marks of the degree multiplied by 100.
For example, Total marks obtained by the candidate / Total marks *100 = Percentage obtained.

Reservation for the Person with Benchmark Disabilities
Under section 34 of “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016” candidates of PwD would be eligible to avail benefits and reservations.
The people having the following disabilities can avail of these reservation benefits:
#1. OC Category
A person having any kind of disability associated with their movements or holding an object due to affliction in the musculoskeletal, nervous system, or both. This may include Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Muscular Dystrophy, and Acid Attack Victims.
#2. VI Category
A person who is suffering from total blindness or poor vision.
#3. HI Category
A person suffering from hard hearing or deaf
#4. Intellectual Disability
This covers people including both suffering from an intellectual disability or multiple disabilities. Intellectual ability includes ASD ( Autistic Spectrum Disorder), SLD (Specific Disorder Disability), or MI (Mental Illness)
Economically Weaker Section
A candidate who is not availing any benefits or reservations under SC, ST, or OBC and having a gross annual income of 8 lakhs per annum would be identified as EWS. They will benefit from 10% of reservations.
Points to be Noted
# The income shall include all revenue from all sources such as salary, agriculture, business, profession, and many more.
# A person having these assets would not be considered as EWS:
5 acres of Agricultural Land and above |
Residential flat of 1000 sq. ft. and above |
Residential plot of 100 sq. yards and above in notified municipalities |
Residential plot of 200 sq. yards and above in areas other than the notified municipalities |
