The digital or electronic record of these measures will be kept for 75 years from the date of collection.
The documentation is to be damaged if, after tiring all legal remedies, any person who has not initially been convicted of an indictable offence under any law with imprisonment for any term and had his or her measurements obtained in accordance with the provisions of this Act is published without trial, discharged, or exonerated by the court.
Refusal to Comply Criminal Procedure Identification Bill 2022
The denial or resistance to taking measures is an offence under section 186 of the Indian Penal Code, according to the act’s requirements (IPC).
There shall be no action or other proceeding against any individual for anything done or meant to be done in good conscience under this Act or any regulation adopted thereunder.
The federal government or a state government may enact regulations to carry out the objectives of this Act by publishing them in the Official Gazette.
