Indian Engineering Services or the IES consists of engineers who work under the Government of India and are declared as Class – 1 officers. Indian Engineering Services Exam
The UPSC releases a notification for over 580 vacancies, which can be obtained via clearing the Indian Engineering Services Exam. The students need to clear both the prelims and mains examination. Students can fill the application form on the online website, in April. The prelims examination is held in July and the Mains examination is conducted in October.

IES Preliminary Exam Pattern

IES Mains Exam Pattern

IES Exam Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the IES examination are as follows:
