The Civil Services Examination is conducted each year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) of India. Eligibility for UPSC CSE 2021 Apply Online

The candidate should be an Indian citizen for IAS and IPS posts. Other than that the candidate can be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, Tibetan refugees settled in India before 1962, or persons migrated from other listed countries who are of Indian origin.
The candidate should have a minimum age of 21 and a maximum age of 32 to appear for the examination. There are certain relaxations for SCs, STs, OBCs, Defence Services Personnel, or differently-abled candidates.
The candidate should have graduated in any stream from a recognized UGC university or its equivalent. Candidates can also apply if they are in the final year and awaiting results for graduation, but they have to present the proof of passing later.
The candidates are also required to meet the physical standard requirements for a post in the Indian civil services. The maximum number of attempts for CSE is 6, which are extended for SCs, STs, OBCs, and persons with disabilities.
