Answer

Correct Option is Only 1

The 42nd Amendment Act of 1976 added Fundamental Duties to the Indian Constitution. They are dealt with Article 51A under Part-IV A of the Indian Constitution. There is a list of 11 Fundamental Duties to be obeyed by every Indian citizen. 1. Some of them are moral duties while others are civic duties. For instance, cherishing noble ideals of freedom struggle is a moral precept and respecting the Constitution, National Flag and National Anthem is a civic duty. 2. Certain recommendations of Swaran Singh Committee were not accepted by the Congress Party like a duty to pay taxes by citizens, the imposition of such penalty or punishment as considered appropriate for any non-compliance with or refusal to observe any of the duties. Hence statement 1 is correct and statement 2 and 3 are not correct.
