When Rai was just eight years of age, her father died. During that time she noticed the insensitivity with which administration servants dealt with the common public just for the smallest of work. Rai was 8 years of age when her father, who was an officer of divisional forest in Sikkim, passed away. At that young age, she realized how harsh most administration officials were towards the general population.
During that time Rai was determined to become an aspect of the network and do her percentage to give rise to change. 2 decades later from Sikkim, Aparajita is now the first woman IPS officer. Thereupon Aparajita’s father expired, it was Roma Rai, her mother who raised her up.
