CAPF UPSC 2020
The UPSC has notified candidates of the CAPF 2020 exam about the vacancies available for this year. There are going to be 209 vacancies for the CAPF UPSC 2020.
The exam is set to be conducted on the 20th of December 2020 as per the academic calendar and the rules of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

CAPF Exam Pattern
The CAPF Exam Pattern is very simple. There are 2 exam papers, one of 250 marks and one of 200 marks.
The first paper has 125 questions and is an MCQ based paper with a duration of 2 hours.
The second paper is a descriptive test and has only 6 questions with a duration of 3 hours.
Once a candidate passes both these written tests they are eligible for the second round, which is a physical ability test. And on passing the second round, a personal interview round will be taken.
The selection is based on performance of all three rounds.
CAPF Exam Syllabus
In paper 1, the syllabus will be for general ability and intelligence. There is not much you can prepare for, but it is important to read current affairs for this, especially the economy.
You are required to have basic knowledge of history, current events, Indian polity and world geography.
Paper 2 will be based on English Language and comprehension and general studies.
You need to have a good idea of writing an essay with good grammar and vocabulary skills. Prep your language skill for good time.
The general studies part will require lots of work. It will be very similar to the general studies exam for IAS aspirants. Learn about the history, geography, economy of the country and also work on general science topics.

- Create a timetable that will adapt to your exam schedule. If you already have one, it is recommended to start increasing revision time every day.
- Go through CAPF Assistant Commandant previous year’s papers. This will help you understand how the questions will be asked in the exam
