UPSC DCIO Exam Pattern

The examination can be taken in an OMR-based offline mode. The written test is divided into two parts: Paper I and Paper-II. The first paper is an objective one. Arithmetic Ability, General Intelligence, and General English are the three areas of the Paper I test. There are 100 questions on Paper I of the exam.

The type of Paper-II examination is explanatory. Analytical abilities and knowledge of English writing skills are among the sections. The Paper-II examination has 50 questions. Both Papers I and Paper II have a time limit of 1 hour and 40 minutes. Candidates must complete all of the questions within the time limit.

UPSC DCIO Exam Notification 2021

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has asked for applications to recruit the various staff including Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II, Assistant Professor, Junior Research Officer, Deputy Central Intelligence Officer (Technical)(DCIO/Tech) and Assistant Surveyor of Works/Assistant Engineer/Engineering Assistant (Civil).

As of the typical closing date, the age limit is 35 years. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates must be under the age of 40, and OBC candidates must be under the age of 38, as of the customary closing date for the posts designated for them.

Relaxable up to five years for UT Government Servant as per instructions/regularly appointed Central/orders issued by the Government of India from time to time.
