This was Pradeep Singh’s fourth attempt for the UPSC. He had previously given the examination thrice, before ranking number one in the nation. He emerged in the UPSC in 2018 with full determination and hard work.
He cleared the exam in the first attempt itself ranking 260 and was appointed as a worker of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS). He has been attracted to studies since childhood. He always had an inspiration to serve the nation. As a result, his is optional subject was Public administration.
He was from a middle-class family, having his mother as a housewife and his father as a worker at a petrol pump. He always believed that if you’re persistent and dedicated, you will finally accomplish your dreams.

He stated that the candidate must concentrate on the writing abilities more to clear the main exam. For the interview round, an aspirant should focus on his interpersonal capacities.
