CAPF is inclusive of seven security forces in India, that are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandants Exam: Notification, Application, Exam Date
The notification for enrolment at the CAPF was released on August 18, 2020, for 209 vacancies, on the official website. The examination is scheduled to be held on December 20, 2020.
Those who meet the eligibility criteria set by the Commission may apply on the website for the posts of Assistant Commandant. The admit card will be issued at least three weeks prior to the exam date.
UPSC CAPF 2021 Syllabus: Assistant Commandants Exam
The written examination for the selection process consists of two papers:
(1) General Ability, Intelligence and General Studies
(2) Essay and Comprehension
In the first paper (for 250 marks), questions will be based on the following broad areas, testing the quantitative ability and reasoning capability of the applicants:
- General mental ability
- General science
- Current affairs/events of international and national significance
- Politics and Economics of India
- Indian history
- Indian and global geography
In the second paper (for 80 marks), questions will have to be answered in a narrative format. Grammar and comprehension ability of the candidates will be tested.
UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandants Exam: Cut off Marks
UPSC announces the official CAPF cut off once the exam is completed. The official cut-off for UPSC CAPF exam is released once the final CAPF result is published. It is put up for all stages of the selection procedure.
Several prominent training institutes will issue the cut-off for UPSC CAPF 2020 after the exam is held on 20th December 2020.
CAPF 2020 cut off will be calculated based on the level of difficulty of the UPSC exam’s question paper and certain other factors as well.
Applicants must note that the qualifying marks for the UPSC CAPF paper two is 25% or 50 marks for General, OBC, SC and ST category candidates, while for ex-servicemen it is 10% or 20 marks out of 200. In paper one and two candidates must score 15% aggregate marks in order to qualify for the written examination.
