UPSC interview 2021 has been postponed. The UPSC NDA admit card 2021 was released a few days ago by the commission. Due to the high rise in COVID-19, the commission took this immediate decision and alerted the students of the new dates.

Facts about UPSC Interview

The Union Public Services Commission conducts the Interview or Personality test which is considered the most important part of the procedure because it helps in connecting the UPSC with the candidate. UPSC conducts this test in two stages before the third stage is the interview round: Preliminary and Mains. After the two theory tests, if the candidate is selected for the third round, that is the interview round the candidate has to appear and the round lasts for around 30 minutes.

On Monday, 19th April 2021, the Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi has postponed the UPSC Interview Exam, which was supposed to be held on 20th April 201, due to the high rising corona cases.

UPSC Interview Postponed 

Supposed Old Date New Date

The supposed date is cancelled and the Commission has decided to conduct the exams between April 26, 2021, to June 18, 2021, in two sessions- at 9 am and at 1 pm. The Commission has also mentioned that the call letters and the summons UPSC CSE interview of 2020 will be available shortly.

Travel Guideline

As mentioned above we all know the new dates of the Interview round 2021, now candidates must note down these certain conditions that the UPSC has mentioned for those who are booking flights or train tickets.

# Candidates are advised to opt for the cheapest flight ticket under economy class immediately after downloading the call letter for the interview round.

# They must book the air tickets either directly from the Airlines (Booking counters, websites) or through the travel agents authorized by the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance viz. Ashoka Tours & Travels, Balmer & Lawrie, and IRCTC only.

# Air Tickets booked through Private travel agents including MakeMyTrip, Yatra, Goibibo, Ease My Trip etc. will not be reimbursed, as per the official notice.

Some more Guidelines to Follow

# The nearest airport will be determined on the basis of the address given by the candidates in their Detailed Application Forms (DAFs).

# UPSC has also directed the candidates to bring the hard copies of the air tickets of both to and fro journeys showing the details of airfare along with the boarding pass for onward journey for reimbursement.

# Second/ Sleeper class train fare (Mail Express) will be reimbursed if the candidate performs their journey by Rail irrespective of Class in accordance with para 132 of service rule,” the official notice read.

“It may be noted that in case of deviation from the above conditions the TA claims of the candidate may not be considered,” the notice reads further.

# A pop up will appear and the PDF of UPSC IAS Interview 2021 will be displayed on the screen.

UPSC Interview 2020 

UPSC Civil Service Prelims Exam, 2020 was held on October 4 and the results were declared on October 23, 2020. Candidates who got shortlisted for the Mains exam which was held from January 8, 2021, to January 17, 2021, and then the results were declared on March 23, 2021.

2046 candidates were qualified for the UPSC Mains Exam, 2020 and UPSC Civil Service Interview e-Summon Letters will be soon made available on UPSC websites.

UPSC Interview Do’s

# Candidate should speak only the truth and nothing else, this ensured to maintain the decorum and also this is the first important point.

# One should be attentive and their concentration must be focused. Always be mentally present and don’t wander off.

# Never, express emotional or stern statements on the strong issues going on. One should use phrases like, I think, this is, my point of view is.

# Be calm and look confident in your composure, this will help them make out your behaviour and personality.

UPSC Interview Don’ts 

# Avoid the expression, “I am sorry”.

# Never give long introductions, straight come to the point and address the questions which are being asked.

# Always count till three before answering, even if you know the answer in the middle of the question, stay calm and patient and let them complete.

#Keep smiling all during the interview and never keep a glum face during the interview, a happy face always generates positivity and gives you confidence.
