Saurabh Rao, an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2003 batch, was recently named as the municipal commissioner of the Pune Municipal Corporation.

Rao carries a thorough understanding of Pune city with him thanks to his extensive knowledge. He has earned recognition for his service as a district collector in the capital, where he was instrumental in the adoption of the Jalyukta Shivar project, which targeted to ensure water supply in drought-prone regions.
