Ankur Garg is from Patiala, Punjab and belongs to a family of doctors. He topped the Civil Service examination or UPSC in 2002 and he had scored an AIR 1st rank. In one of his interviews, he had stated that becoming an IAS officer was his childhood dream and it came true in 2002. He had also stated that he was confident he would be among the first ten rank holders, but the first rank even surprised him.

Thinking of becoming and serving as an IAS officer was his dream from 3rd class. Though he is an Engineer and did his graduation from IIT Delhi, he had a special taste for History subjects. His choices in the examination were History, Physics and Chemistry. He had also acquired two international achievements which are from the Institute of Lausanne and Paris before he graduated from IIT Delhi. He was also offered a six-digit salary while he was studying in a top private sector company but he had refused it. He wanted to serve the country and this made him go for the UPSC examination and achieve his dreams.

#Keep your mind and body healthy, after you sit for 8-10 hours of revision, you need to exercise or do yoga, take a walkout in nature, this will help you be mentally and physically fit.
